My Legislative Travel – Trade and Training - Part 2
In last months newsletter I described the travel I have undertaken as a State Legislator to various meetings and conferences. My participation in all of these events were to either educate myself on policy matters or to better myself in my role as an elected official. During my recitation of travel in the newsletter I neglected to mention my attendance at the Oregon Business Plan Leadership Summit on December 6, 2004 in Portland. I attended at the request of U.S. Senators Wyden and Smith to discuss the economic future of and how to improve the business climate in Oregon. I took time off work and drove 5 hours each way from Central Point to Portland to attend and learn how my District could help improve Oregon's economy through the ConnectOregon program. Sincerely,
